Project Stats

Type: New Build
Client: Richmond Christian School Society
Location: Richmond, BC
Size: 3,300 m2
Project Delivery: Construction Management

The new RCS high school campus is a continuation of KMBR's working relationship with the Richmond Christian School Society that began with an expansion of the existing campus located immediately to the north of the new site. Designed in a collaborative effort between KMBR (lead firm) and Allen Maurer Architects, the new school provides teaching spaces for up to 300 students. At the focal point of this complex lies a multi-purpose gymnasium / assembly hall. A full-height translucent north-facing wall provides ample amounts of natural light for day-time activities, while at night it casts a glow light outward, giving a lantern-like effect.
